Introduction

Values shape our decisions, actions, and communication. The “Values Workshop” helps foster a shared understanding of the nature and importance of values among your company’s employees. Together, we will lay the foundation for a unified and value-oriented company.

Outcome

The workshop will help develop the company’s culture and assist in finding a common understanding of the nature and significance of values within the company. As a result of the workshop, the company will have agreed-upon values that reflect the essence of the company and its people.

About the Trainer

Helen has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Tallinn University of Technology and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She has over ten years of experience in human resource management, both in retail and business consulting. As a certified Executive Coach, Helen has worked with several top executives to help turn their visions into reality. In addition to her HR Master’s degree, Helen holds a Level 6 certification as an adult educator and is an internationally recognized DiSC trainer.

Curriculum: Internal Training “Values Workshop”

Curriculum Area: Management and Administration

Basis for Curriculum Development: The curriculum is based on public materials that are referenced during the training.

Objective: The goal of the workshop is to bring the company to a shared understanding of the nature and importance of values and to develop the company’s culture.

Learning Outcomes (i.e., the results participants will achieve after the training):

  • Understand the importance of values;
  • Have an overview of the company’s values;
  • Analyze the alignment of personal values with company values;
  • Contribute to mapping and developing the company’s culture.

Target Audience: Teams who wish to agree on common values to work more effectively together.

Prerequisites for Participation: The prerequisite for participation in the training is a B2 (independent user) level of Estonian.

Duration: 4 academic hours

Content of the Training:

  • What are values?
  • What are your personal values? What are the values of your company?
  • What is the company’s mission – why do we do what we do?
  • What is culture?
  • How do values, mission, and culture influence daily cooperation and services provided?
  • Practical application of the culture design canvas to map and develop your company’s culture.

Teaching Methods: Interactive mini-lectures, practical exercises, group work, self-reflection.

Description of the Learning Environment: The training will take place in a learning environment adapted for group work, which includes presentation technology and a flipchart. We will accommodate individuals with special needs within our competence and capacity. While face-to-face workshops are preferred, the training can also be conducted in a virtual environment if necessary, using Zoom.us. The trainer will send a link for participants to join the virtual room.

Number of Participants: The maximum number of participants in one group is 60.

Learning Materials:

  • Materials prepared by the trainer
  • Necessary teaching tools provided by the trainer during the course

Completion Requirements:

  • To be eligible for evaluation, participants must attend at least 80% of the in-person classes.
  • Participants must complete the evaluation methods.

Evaluation Methods:

  • Self-reflection
  • Peer reflection with a fellow participant

Evaluation Criteria:

  • The participant has an overview of their teammates’ and the company’s values and has analyzed the common ground to maintain and develop collaboration.

Documents Issued:

  • Certificate (issued if completion requirements are met)
  • Proof of participation (issued if completion requirements are not met)

Trainer Qualifications:

  • Trainer has completed relevant training
  • Fluency in Estonian at native or at least C1 level

The curriculum will be tailored according to the specific needs of the client.
